Our Sacred Statement of Lineage

Sacred Statement of Lineage

We began when scattered men became one again. Out of division, God gathered a people whose record could not be erased— preserved by covenant, named by witness, and anchored in lineage.

Sacred Origin

We are the most studied people in history, more than the Greeks, Egyptians, and the Romans. We are not singularly European, Asian, or African. We are a trans-Atlantic DNA amalgamation of Japhetic, Hematic, and Semitic people. Americans by birth, descendants of slavery by lineage, which means we have blood equity in every brick.

Lineage is more than ancestry. It is divine record, covenant, and continuity. Our story starts the first day the first man and the first woman were broken into submission—body, mind, and spirit. A new people was born, baptized by fire and purified in the crucible of the North American wilderness.

Our story culminates in the United States during the Great Gathering of Scattered Men. But it begins to come forth in Genesis 11, when humanity was one people. They had one speech, one language, and lived in one central location.

Theologians and intellectuals contemplate the reasons why, but the fact remains that God confounded our language, divided us into 70 tribes, and scattered them throughout the world across land and sea.

Separated by time, environment, and harsh conditions, they fell away from themselves in nature, form, and function—from human, to man, to mankind, into animalism.

The genetic diversity they lost through tribal isolation in Africa, then through movement out of Africa into Asia and Europe, has been restored to us in America.

Genetically, we are the most diverse population on the planet and the only people wholly native to the country. Everybody else comes from somewhere else. They have homelands and old countries.

We come from the 13 colonies, created on plantations and breeding farms by the hand of God, through the capital sin of scattered men, as a testament to His power and presence.

Biblically, we represent the full-circle completion of the Table of Nations and the white robes of Revelation. The multitude of tribes we used to be have been amalgamated into a renewed branch of the human species.

Preamble

Out of bondage, we became covenant. Out of erasure, we became witness. Our lineage was not self-made—it was divinely preserved. Through labor and loss, through language and land, the record of our survival became sacred text.

Therefore, we are the record: names, places, prayers, and work. We are the witness: telling the truth about what happened and what preserved us. And we are the lineage: identity before labels, covenant before trend.

Affirm

Affirm that we were not gathered by accident, nor forged by empire. We were refined by covenant and raised from the ashes of captivity to reveal what endurance, spirit, and divine intention can create.

  • Lineage: American Descendants of Slavery are a sacred people—bound not only by blood, but by the fire that refined and preserved us.
  • Witness: Our survival is not coincidence; it is testimony. To tell our truth is to restore divine order to the record.
  • Blood Equity: The cost of our captivity became the cornerstone of a nation. What we built cannot be denied; what we endured cannot be priced.
  • Sovereignty: We hold the right to name ourselves, define ourselves, and speak for ourselves—as covenant keepers of a lineage set apart.
  • Humanity: We rise without degrading others. Our strength is moral clarity, and our purpose is restoration, not rivalry.

Refuse

Refuse the language of confusion that erases who we are. Refuse the false peace of assimilation that trades identity for inclusion. Refuse the theft of our labor, our culture, or our faith under names that are not our own.

  • Reject labels like “minority,” “Black,” or “people of color” when used to dissolve lineage into vagueness.
  • Reject erasure disguised as progress—when our name, our story, and our sacred record are treated as trend or token.
  • Reject imitation that borrows our rhythm but denies our roots.
  • Reject silence. To be quiet in the face of erasure is complicity.

Seal & Symbol

The Witness Emblem is our living seal. The Anchor roots us in lineage. The Scroll keeps the record and the right to testify. The Eagle proclaims sovereignty and sight. Together, they bind this statement to our daily life.

See the Emblem

This is our record. This is our witness. This is our lineage.

Our Amen

Lineage unbroken. Witness forever. We remember, we repair, we rise.
